  • You want the function to be able to adjust (dim) the light, for example, for evening ambiance.

  • You want the possibility to connect multiple strings together to cover a larger area.

  • You do not want very intense work lighting, but rather decorative “living room evening” light.

⚠️ Possible compromises

  • If you need very bright light — this is more of a decorative string, not high-intensity lighting.

  • If the string light will be used in a place with very high humidity or direct water splashes, IP44 might be a minimal compromise — if higher protection is needed, look for IP65 or higher.

  • You must ensure that the connection (plug, transformer) is suitable for outdoor use and safety requirements.
